Who is this child that lies in humble splendour
1 Who is this child that lies in humble splendour,
and spurns the night and braves the winter wild?
Was ever babe so lowly and so tender,
yet full of grace? Who is this little child?
This is the Christ, in whom we are forgiven;
this is the Lord, the mighty Son of Man;
this is our God,
who comes to us from heaven
the living Word
who was before the world began!
2 What shall we sing to celebrate his story,
to praise our Lord and glorify our king?
How shall we tell the people of his glory,
and share his grace? What shall his people sing?
Chorus
