Silent the earth when God arose
Words: David Mowbray
1 Silent the earth when God arose
in justice for the meek,
when all the strong were cast aside
and mercy spared the weak.
2 So let earth's tyrants gaze in fear,
as evildoers should,
to see their wicked deeds transformed
to providential good.
3 Let God be praised, Jerusalem,
and known throughout the earth:
now is the moment, now the time
to tell God's sovereign worth!
