1 Come and believe it! See what God is doing
people and places, all in Christ renewing:
heaven draws nearer, death and hell subduing,
lift hearts and voices high!
2 God gives our past and future celebration,
evening and morning, old and new creation,
now is the day of favour and salvation:
now let us turn to Christ!
3 What shall our prayer be at this day's arrival?
Come, Holy Spirit, with your true revival!
Christ filling all things, Master with no rival,
Jesus is Lord of all!
4 Learn from the Saviour, mighty in his meekness;
here we have proved that strength is found through weakness
if we hold fast his cross, and his uniqueness:
glory to God on high!
5 God of new openings, blending with tradition,
show new horizons for your urgent mission;
sowing or reaping, bringing to fruition,
grant us to walk with Christ.
6 Praise for the word and witness we inherit
raised from the dead in Christ, our only merit:
praise to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
one God, our All-in-all!
