Derek Baldwin

Although Derek was brought up as a Strict Baptist he worshipped and worked as an evangelical Anglican since the age of 19. He served in various musical positions in a number of churches and was involved with the Royal School of Church Music.

His particular aim was to bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary music and worship. He was licensed as a Lay Reader and was active in preaching, teaching and group leading.

He is the author of two books, Open Doors, Open Minds (Highland 1994) and Dying to Live (Eagle 1995).

Sadly Derek passed away in August 2024.
