1 Jesus, Saviour, holy Child,
sleep tonight,
slumber deep till morning light.
Lullaby, our joy, our treasure,
all our hope and all our pleasure:
at the cradle where you lie
we will worship lullaby!

2 From your Father's home you come
to this earth,
by your lowly manger birth:
Child of God, our nature sharing;
Son of Man, our sorrows bearing;
rich, yet here among the poor:
Christ the Lord, whom we adore!

3 Now to heaven's glory song
we reply
with a Christmas lullaby.
Hush, the eternal Lord is sleeping
close in Mary's tender keeping:
babe, on whom the angels smiled
Jesus, Saviour, holy Child.
